Do you make fitted wardrobes?

Yes. Hinged, sliding and walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms, each drawn around your room and what you need to store, with the interior laid out for your clothes rather than a standard kit.

Can you fit furniture under sloping ceilings and in alcoves?

That is what made-to-measure is for. Eaves, alcoves, chimney breasts and walls that are not quite square are measured and drawn into the design, so awkward space becomes proper storage.

What finishes can I choose?

The same painted colours, timber veneers and ironmongery we offer on our kitchens, so bedroom furniture can match the rest of the house or set its own tone.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the job. We give you a clear lead time at the design stage and fit around your diary.

Do you visit to measure?

Yes. A member of the team comes to your home to measure, look at the room and talk through options before anything is drawn.

Fitted bedrooms

Fitted bedrooms and wardrobes, designed, made and installed

The same workshop, the same joiners and the same care we bring to our kitchens, applied to wardrobes, dressing rooms and bedroom storage.

Made to measure

Fitted bedrooms that use every centimetre.

Bedrooms waste space in predictable places: the alcove either side of a chimney breast, the slope under the eaves, the wall that is a few centimetres too short for a bought wardrobe. Fitted furniture made to the room takes all of it back. We measure, draw and build each piece in our own workshop, so doors, drawers and shelves fit the wall they are made for.

Fitted wardrobes, three ways

Hinged wardrobes with in-frame or shaker doors suit older houses and give full access to every shelf. Sliding wardrobes suit narrower rooms where a door swing is in the way, with panels in painted timber, mirror or glass. Walk-in wardrobes and dressing rooms turn a box room or the end of a large bedroom into open storage with rails, shelves, drawers and a dressing table in one run.

Inside, the layout is drawn around what you own: long hanging, short hanging, shelves for folded clothes, shoe racks, trouser pulls and drawers with dividers.

All of it is painted, lacquered or veneered to the same standard as our kitchens, and built to last.

Beyond the wardrobe

Fitted bedroom furniture does not stop at hanging space. Bedside cabinets and headboards built as one piece, dressing tables with drawers made to the room, and tall units that take the television, the books and the ironing board out of sight.

In a loft room the furniture follows the eaves, with low drawers under the slope and tall storage on the gable wall. In a child's room it is a bed with drawers, a desk and shelves that will still make sense when they are sixteen.

Every piece is made in Cadishead and fitted by our own team.

Designed around you

Bedroom design that works the way you do.

A bedroom has to be calm, which means storage that closes and a layout that leaves the floor clear. We start with how you dress, what you own and where the light comes from, then draw the furniture to suit. You see it in 3D before anything is made.

Made to measure. Built to last

Every joint, every drawer front, properly made.

All our bedroom furniture is built in our own workshop with the same materials and construction as our kitchens: solid carcasses, painted or veneered doors, proper ironmongery. Modern and minimal or warm and traditional, each piece is detailed to disappear into the architecture of the room.

Once you are happy with the design, our own installation team fits it, with one point of contact from start to finish.

“We are delighted with our kitchen. Russell was brilliant. He listened to our ideas and because everything was made to measure we were able to get exactly what we wanted. The quality is excellent and we listened to Russell’s recommendations on where to save money and where not to compromise. Highly recommended!”

“We had our Kitchen & Utility revamped last May by TKB Kitchens prior to moving in to our new home. We only had a small budget to get it more modern, usable and liveable with. From start to finish it was a positive experience resulting in an amazing transformation…better than we ever expected. Neil and the team at every level were super friendly, reliable and supportive and always mindful of our budget and everything else we had going on….trying to get moved in and due a baby at any moment. The quality of work and service we received was to a higher standard than I received a few years before when designing my dream kitchen at our old house m with a bigger high street kitchen company and has only made me more aware for future when designing my dream kitchen again here. It will be TKB who I call.”

“We were searching for a kitchen that balances quality and affordability without a pushy sales approach which led us to Russell from TKB. He visited our home after our recent extension and brought a wealth of knowledge and fantastic design ideas. We felt completely at ease, never experiencing a pressured sales pitch. The result is a stunning kitchen that is both beautiful and functional, perfectly fitting our space. It’s become the heart of our home, where we gather and entertain loved ones. For anyone in search of a breathtaking, high-quality kitchen at a reasonable price, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend TKB and am incredibly grateful for their exceptional work. We loved the service so much that we are moving next year and are using TKB again to install a new kitchen and a walk-in wardrobe in our new home.”
