A Brief with Big Ideas

The client had a clear vision from the start. They wanted a kitchen that felt dramatic, stylish and urban. They were inspired by classic Manhattan loft apartments and how the space was used to its full potential. But this wasn’t just about looks, they also needed proper storage, practical materials, and a layout that worked with the scale of the property, not against it.

Designing for the Vertical

With such high ceilings to work with, we designed a floor-to-ceiling cabinetry layout to make full use of the height. The lower units were finished in super matt stone green. Then paired up with brushed brass rail handles for warmth and definition. Up top, we used push-to-open doors to keep the lines clean and minimal.

To break up the vertical run and introduce contrast, we added bridging units in Halifax Oak. It’s  a rich, textured finish that brought natural warmth into the mix. The result feels structured and layered, without losing that loft-like simplicity.

Premium Finishes Throughout

The worktops were finished in Taj Royal quartz. A new colourway that pairs beautifully with the green cabinetry. We carried the same quartz through into full splashbacks in both the sink and bar areas. Then, with the addition of a waterfall end to the island we hit the brief! Of course the whole space was designed to give the whole scheme a sharp, seamless edge.
