Bespoke kitchens in Cheshire
We design, make and fit bespoke kitchens for homes across Cheshire, from Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury to Knutsford, Lymm, Tarporley and Congleton. Every kitchen is drawn for its house and built in our own workshop in Cadishead, just over the Mersey from Warrington.
Made for the house you have
Kitchens made for Cheshire homes.
Cheshire's houses ask a lot of a kitchen. The villages around Alderley Edge, Prestbury and Mobberley have farmhouses, barn conversions and listed cottages, where new joinery has to sit with old beams, thick walls and floors that are rarely level. Wilmslow, Knutsford and Lymm have large Edwardian and inter-war family houses, where the kitchen is moving into the old dining room or out into a garden extension. Newer homes around Handforth, Northwich and Sandbach come with open plan spaces that need zoning rather than more cupboards.
Every kitchen we make starts as a blank page. We measure the room ourselves, draw around its architecture and build the cabinets to the millimetre in our own workshop, so a sloping ceiling, a deep window reveal or an inglenook becomes part of the design rather than something to work around.

One team from design to fitting
The first visit is at your home, so we can see the room, the light and how the house is used before anything is drawn. Design and 3D visuals follow, and you are welcome to visit our studio in Cadishead to see finishes, handle samples and talk through worktops and appliances.
The cabinets are made in our own workshop and installed by the joiners who built them. You deal with one team from the first conversation to the final fitting, and nobody you have not met turns up to fit your kitchen.
If you are extending or renovating, talk to us before the plans are final. Island positions, extraction and glazing affect the structure, and we regularly work alongside Cheshire architects and builders to settle them on paper first.

What a Cheshire kitchen asks for
In a farmhouse or barn conversion it usually means in-frame cabinetry, hand-painted finishes and a range cooker set into the chimney, with a larder cupboard and an island made to look like a piece of furniture. In a family house it means an island people can gather round, a pantry that takes the clutter off the worktops, and a utility or boot room by the back door.
In a contemporary extension it means handleless doors, long runs of tall units and worktops that carry the eye out to the garden. The style is yours to choose: traditional, contemporary, farmhouse or modern. The method stays the same.
In Tarporley we turned a compact village kitchen into a light, practical room with a small seating area, and in Warrington we paired wood grain cabinetry with Calacatta worktops and a cashmere island. Both were drawn for their house and made in our workshop.
“We are delighted with our kitchen. Russell was brilliant. He listened to our ideas and because everything was made to measure we were able to get exactly what we wanted. The quality is excellent and we listened to Russell’s recommendations on where to save money and where not to compromise. Highly recommended!”
“5* Experience with TKB, my kitchen is now more family friendly thanks to Neil and the team. Neil came up with a fab idea of incorporating seating into our kitchen, which we now use and is daily perfect for family life. The overall service was faultless nothing was too much, great choice of colours and quartz worktops and outstanding craftsmanship. Highly recommend TKB, thank you again.”
“We had our Kitchen & Utility revamped last May by TKB Kitchens prior to moving in to our new home. We only had a small budget to get it more modern, usable and liveable with. From start to finish it was a positive experience resulting in an amazing transformation…better than we ever expected. Neil and the team at every level were super friendly, reliable and supportive and always mindful of our budget and everything else we had going on….trying to get moved in and due a baby at any moment. The quality of work and service we received was to a higher standard than I received a few years before when designing my dream kitchen at our old house m with a bigger high street kitchen company and has only made me more aware for future when designing my dream kitchen again here. It will be TKB who I call.”
“Fantastic job. Russ is a true craftsman and perfectionist. Can’t say enough about him and his right hand man Mike 👍”
“We were searching for a kitchen that balances quality and affordability without a pushy sales approach which led us to Russell from TKB. He visited our home after our recent extension and brought a wealth of knowledge and fantastic design ideas. We felt completely at ease, never experiencing a pressured sales pitch. The result is a stunning kitchen that is both beautiful and functional, perfectly fitting our space. It’s become the heart of our home, where we gather and entertain loved ones. For anyone in search of a breathtaking, high-quality kitchen at a reasonable price, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend TKB and am incredibly grateful for their exceptional work. We loved the service so much that we are moving next year and are using TKB again to install a new kitchen and a walk-in wardrobe in our new home.”

Questions from Cheshire homeowners
We work across Cheshire, including Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Prestbury, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Congleton, Sandbach, Northwich, Tarporley and Lymm, as well as Warrington. Several of these towns have their own page on our site, and we take on projects further afield by arrangement.
It depends on the size of the room, the cabinetry, the worktops, the appliances and the installation. We talk about budget at the first conversation, show you how different choices affect it, and give you a detailed quotation once the design is settled, so you can see exactly what is included.
We do. Much of Prestbury, Alderley Edge and the older villages is period housing, some of it listed or in conservation areas. In-frame doors, hand-painted finishes and traditional ironmongery all come from our own workshop. Any consents your property needs are arranged by you or your architect, and we provide the drawings they need.
Yes. Our studio and workshop are in Cadishead, between Manchester and Warrington and within easy reach of most of Cheshire by the M6, M56 and M62. You are welcome to visit to see finishes and samples, and the first design visit takes place at your home.
Before the architect's drawings are final. The positions of the island, sink, extraction and glazing affect the structure, and settling them early saves changes on site. We are used to working with builders across Cheshire and will coordinate with yours.
