Made for the house you have

Kitchens made for how Wilmslow lives.

Wilmslow's housing runs from the Victorian and Edwardian villas of Fulshaw Park and the roads off Alderley Road, through inter-war semis around Lacey Green and Dean Row, to the estate cottages of Styal and the newer houses of Handforth and Handforth Dean. Lindow and Morley add bigger plots and a good number of rebuilds. The villas have tall ceilings and deep rear rooms that take full-height cabinetry well. The semis gain most from opening the kitchen into the dining room. The cottages need light handled carefully and joinery that respects the building.

Each needs something different, which is why every kitchen we make starts as a blank sheet. We measure the room ourselves, draw around the architecture and build the cabinets to the millimetre in our workshop.

We have worked in the town itself. A recent project turned a spare room into a fitted home office in indigo blue Richmond shaker units with custom cabinetry, made and fitted by the same team that makes our kitchens. Read the Wilmslow project.

Designed around how you live

A kitchen in a Fulshaw Park villa has scale to spend. We use it on an island people can gather round, a run of tall units that uses the ceiling height, and lighting that makes the room feel furnished at night. In a Lacey Green semi the job is the reverse: a narrow rear kitchen that wants light, storage and a plan that opens to the dining room without losing the wall it needs.

Either way, the design follows how you cook, eat and entertain, not a catalogue layout.

Period homes

Made to suit the building

Styal's estate cottages and the older houses around the parish church sit in conservation areas, and some are listed. The kitchen itself rarely needs consent, but the joinery has to look as though it belongs. In-frame doors, hand-painted finishes and solid ironmongery all come from our own workshop, and we regularly design for listed and conservation area homes.

“We are delighted with our kitchen. Russell was brilliant. He listened to our ideas and because everything was made to measure we were able to get exactly what we wanted. The quality is excellent and we listened to Russell’s recommendations on where to save money and where not to compromise. Highly recommended!”

“We had our Kitchen & Utility revamped last May by TKB Kitchens prior to moving in to our new home. We only had a small budget to get it more modern, usable and liveable with. From start to finish it was a positive experience resulting in an amazing transformation…better than we ever expected. Neil and the team at every level were super friendly, reliable and supportive and always mindful of our budget and everything else we had going on….trying to get moved in and due a baby at any moment. The quality of work and service we received was to a higher standard than I received a few years before when designing my dream kitchen at our old house m with a bigger high street kitchen company and has only made me more aware for future when designing my dream kitchen again here. It will be TKB who I call.”

“We were searching for a kitchen that balances quality and affordability without a pushy sales approach which led us to Russell from TKB. He visited our home after our recent extension and brought a wealth of knowledge and fantastic design ideas. We felt completely at ease, never experiencing a pressured sales pitch. The result is a stunning kitchen that is both beautiful and functional, perfectly fitting our space. It’s become the heart of our home, where we gather and entertain loved ones. For anyone in search of a breathtaking, high-quality kitchen at a reasonable price, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend TKB and am incredibly grateful for their exceptional work. We loved the service so much that we are moving next year and are using TKB again to install a new kitchen and a walk-in wardrobe in our new home.”

Our process

From first visit to final fit

home consultation

A visit to your home

It starts at your house, not in a showroom. We come to Wilmslow, measure the room ourselves, look at the light and the way the house is used, and listen. Nothing is drawn until we understand the people who will cook in it.

Gallery 5

Design and 3D visuals

We draw the kitchen from a blank page and show it to you in 3D before anything is made. You are welcome at the studio in Cadishead, half an hour away, to see finishes and handle samples. Changes are made on paper, where they cost nothing.

home installation

Made and fitted by us

Every cabinet is built in our own workshop and fitted by our own team. There is no subcontracted installer, so the people who made it are the people in your kitchen.

Designed without compromise

Why homeowners choose TKB

A kitchen is the most used room in the house and the hardest to get right. Wilmslow homeowners come to us because we make the whole thing, from first drawing to final fit, and because the result is built for the house it sits in rather than adapted from a range.

We never start from a standard layout. Every project begins with the room and the people, and the cabinets are made to the millimetre to suit both.

Homeowners in Wilmslow choose TKB because we offer:

Individually tailored kitchen designs

Creative, design-led thinking

Beautifully crafted cabinetry

Carefully selected premium materials

Meticulous attention to every detail

A personal service from concept through to completion

Our reputation rests on kitchens that are still working hard and looking right ten years on. Properly made, properly fitted, and designed around the way you live.

Homes in Wilmslow

Kitchens for exceptional Wilmslow homes

Every house has a character worth keeping, and the kitchen should look as though it was always meant to be there. In an Edwardian villa that means proportion and a certain generosity. In a Handforth new build it means making open plan space work as rooms. In a Styal cottage it means restraint and the right ironmongery.

Traditional, contemporary, farmhouse or modern, the method is the same: understand the room, design around the people, then build it by hand.
