Space-Saving Kitchen Renovation in Cheshire
Date Published

At TKB Kitchens, we’re proud to help our customers turn their vision into beautifully functional spaces, even when space is limited. One of our recent projects took place in the heart of Tarporley village, Cheshire. We were tasked with transforming a compact kitchen into a practical and welcoming space for a very special purpose.
The Brief
Our client had recently purchased a property in central Tarporley in Cheshire with the goal of renovating it for her father to move into. As with many traditional village homes, the kitchen space was modest in size, but the client had a clear idea of what she needed:
- A more workable kitchen layout
- Maximised storage to make the most of the limited space
- A small seating area incorporated into the design
- A light and airy feel to keep the room from feeling cramped

The Design
Working closely with the customer, we developed a layout that ticked every box. We opted for a soft, light mussel cabinet colour, which pairs beautifully with the solid white quartz worktops. A timeless combination that brings elegance while helping the space feel bright and open.
Every element was chosen with purpose:
- Clever storage solutions helped us make use of every available inch.
- The seating nook was carefully integrated without compromising the flow of the room.
- The neutral palette keeps the room feeling calm, clean, and contemporary. Perfect for a cosy home environment.

The Result
The end result is a kitchen that feels spacious, inviting, and practical. A far cry from the original layout. It’s a perfect example of how thoughtful design can completely change how a space works, even within tight constraints.
We’re looking forward to seeing the final touches once the decoration and tiling are complete. A final photo update will be shared soon!
